I don't think either one were particularly news worthy, but given the fucking drama, I have to believe assault and battery is a worse crime than vandalism.
plus it seems like UEFA is being blamed here for failing to keep 'pool fans out of segregated area whereas west ham were blamed for failing to control people in a public street in london.

Face... Yeah Lawro the defender who played over 500 apps spanning nearly 20 years winning 5 league championships, 1 EC, 3 LC's and 1 FA Cup... yeah that bloke who could play a bit... and defend a bit... I'd take his word as what/who classes as a proper defender ... no offence like.

apologies if this has been covered, but how is the fan violence at the final basically not even mentioned by the papers? a few bottles and a broken window was likened to a Hillsborough concentration camp, and yet actual violence between fans, inside a stadium, causing injuries, requiring people to go to the hospital isn't even news worthy?
seriously, I'm a bit thick, what am I missing here?

I didn't watch the whole game but according to Who Scored.com he made the most tackles and clearances out of the entire back four and had the 3rd highest rating.
His header was shit, granted but never looked like an immediate goal scoring opportunity from it. It's easy to blame a 90 defeat on him if you're an angry scouser though I suppose. Like a butterfly effect.
